MY special guest on this segment, Bobby Sanabria, has been here a few times before and it's always great to hear his voice on Wpkn. Multiverse Big Band leader, percussionist, Professor, musicologist (he's forgotten more about music than I have ever known) and most of all, a Lord of the Bronx, is here to talk about his fabulous new double CD "West Side Story reimagined" a tribute to the great Musical and Movie under the hand of the genius composer and musician Leonard Bernstein. This radio show was just prior to Bobby and his band playing this opus to a crowd of over 5000 people outdoors at Lincoln center, coordinated with a spectacular multimedia presentation of photography and poetry celebrating the Puerto Rico, the Bronx and the West side.
