Don't Stop Asking!

Taking God at His word is not always easy, yet when we read a scripture so powerful as Luke 11:5-13, we long for Him to fullfill His promise. Problem is.. we have to keep living in persistence and showing up so our God can show out! We have to keep asking, keep seeking and keep knocking. The Cure for Worry

Let's start something new! How about we take God at His word. I mean really start believing He says what He means and He means what He says. Therefore, when we read a promise from God in His Word we start living like we believe Him and change the way we act, think and behave. In todays episode we talk about how we can take God at his word when He says we need to stop worring and begin to seek God first. 

Wait or Go?

Do you ever feel like God is giving you conflicting messages?  On one hand He is telling me to wait and then on the other He is telling me to go! Which one is it Lord? Should I stay or should I go now? (I couldn't help it! I had to!)  The Ruth is a beautiful example of how we are to wait with expectation, trusting the Lord will show up and provide a path forward. Waiting on the Lord is active not passive. Today we will discover how we wait with confidence and hope.

Standing Firm Against the Enemy #2

Nehemiah chose three things he did that helped him stand firm against the enemy. Knowing the statics that distract, discourage and disillusion us from fullfilling our God given calling will help us building what God has called us to and fight for what matters most.  Nehemiah was the leader the Isralite people need to complete the wall and bring restoration back to their nation.

The book of Nehemiah in the Bible gives us a beautiful example of when God calls us to build something for His glory, He will empower us to accomplish it! But the minute we declare victory for the Lord is the minute our enemy declares war on us. Nehemiah shows us how to stand firm and keep pursuing Jesus no matter.

I love when scripture makes sense! Not every time we read something in the Bible does it hit my head or my heart the way I want it to, but I have learned, if we keep reading, keep thinking about it, the Lord will begin to reveal more truths to us.  Today we are talking about Psalms 1 and Psalms 119

When we actually start looking for Jesus in out everyday... funny thing is... we actually see Him!  He has always been there and will always be there, the difference is us! Our eyes begin to open to see Him and notice all the areas of our day in which God is working and moving. The choice we get to make is, are we going to join Him!?

Listening to what God is trying to teach me is a constant battle. Yet, when I take time to process what He is telling me, I feel His abundant wisdom lived out in my life and the life of those around me. Learning to listen to God also means I need to learn to listen to others as well. He cares for them and loves them more than I can imagine. As we listen to one another, God's love is on display! Stretching myself and doing something hard! I felt God telling me to step out and commit to day a podcast recording everyday for at least a week.. but that seems to hard, to much of a commitment. Tis So Sweet to Trust

So much of our day if filled with negativity and stress. But God is calling us to be the light that shines in the dark for all to see, to be the salt of this world. As we shine for Jesus, others are encouraged to do the same and are drawn towards Him. The world around us constantly projects its opinion upon us. With no apologies to those who disagree. The more we listen and surround ourselves with these lies, the more they infiltrate into our heart. How do we fight against this? How can we know the truth and live a life that honors God? We cling to His word. And you know what? The more we hear the truth, read the truth and listen to the truth, the more we long for its safety and protection. God put a longing in each one of our hearts ...

Faith Set Point

We all are human. We want to fall back into our lazy ways not pursuing after Christ and His righteousness. It's hard work! We may even think we can float for a little bit in the middle- not pushing the "good Christian" thing very hard- and not living in out right sin and rebellion. But because we are human, if we aren't pursuing after righteousness we are automatically falling away from Christ. It is only by His power we stay connected and want to lean more into our walk with Him.

Staying in step with Jesus

Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, sometimes we need to fight hand in hand with our Savior. Thank goodness Isaiah reminds us that we don't have to do it alone! 

Getting Rid of Negative Self Talk

As women and mommas, we do this all the time! Comparison. We may even do it so much we aren't even aware we are doing it! But is it healthy, is it what God wants for our lives? How can we begin to love our selves enough to speak kindness and truth to our hearts so we can love others better? 

Is it Faith or is it Works?

James chapter 2:14 teaches us how faith and works are intertwined to produce a saving faith. Without works our faith is dead. We must get up off the bench and participate in the things that God has prepared for us in advance.

Becoming Wise Women

James 3:13-18  How do we become wise in the mist of broken people? James tells us  we need to live well, live wisely, and live humbly, treat others with dignity and honor.

We have things in our life we don't want to give up on! Health, loved ones, relationships, dreams, children... This story of Jacob reminds us that God honors our persistence, don't give up, keep pressing forward to grab hold of His promises!
