Every good teacher knows that everyone learns differently and that there are some topics students won't grasp the first time around. The kingdom of heaven must have been one of those hard-to-grasp concepts -- because Jesus offers parable after parable, example after example to explain what the world will be like when God's love and mercy reign. Even now, Christ is customizing a lesson plan -- a life plan -- for each of us. So that we might fully understand and fully participate in God's kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven.
