Months after the Olympics have ended, you may still be able to remember the name of the first-place medalist in your favorite sport. But, it’s not likely that you remember who came in last. Our culture celebrates winners, those who are first. But, Christ reminds the disciples that the Christian race has different goals and different records to break. The first shall be last and the last will be first. And, anyone who wants to be thought of as great, must be the very last – and be seen as servant of all.
