“Mirror, mirror on the wall — who is the fairest of them all?” Today’s scripture might paraphrase the question from the old fairy tale and ask: “mirror, mirror on the wall — who is the most Christlike after all?” James reminds us that those who hear the word of God, but don’t do it, are like those who look in a mirror and forget their own image. Our work as disciples is simply to reflect God in this world. So, ask yourself: Mirror, mirror on the wall, am I reflecting God above all?
