WRS recently reported on fears from the agricultural sector, who were anxious for a while about whether there would be enough farm workers available to work Swiss farms.

We caught up with Sandra Helfenstein from the SBV - the Swiss Farmer's Association, who explained that over the recent lockdown measures due to covid-19 the agricultural sector had been lucky in some ways and unlucky in others.

Firstly, as she explains, their product was food and they were able to continue the sale of food, though they had to adapt as to how.

Sandra Helfenstein also explained some of the online platforms that the agricultural sector used to recruit for workers. During the pandemic certain platforms were available free for job seekers and those looking to recruit alike.
