Backdrop Switzerland is a cultural exhibition consisting of iconic photographic documents, vintage posters and memorabilia, as well as foreign film excerpts, which use Switzerland as a backdrop from 1900 to present day.
The comprehensive research, initiated by Cornelius Schregle, resulted also in an eponymous coffee-table book published in 2016, which has since become a reference on the subject.
With the exhibition, the Musée Alexis Forel and the Expo Fondation Bolle conclude their cycle dedicated to cinema, which in the last few years has featured Audrey Hepburn, Yul Brynner, Peter Ystinov, and Capucine.
