MISERY & LADY VENGEANCE: Episode 84: A Woman Obsessed!

This week we looked at two portraits of obsession: Annie Wilkes from MISERY and I Geum-ja from Lady Vengeance.

There are a couple of similarities between these two films I never noticed until now. The celebrity that springs up around each woman is one and the other one...has to do with feet.

Coming up:
Mac's pick of "Early creature features that have interesting applications"? I am not sure I got that right, but he has chosen CREEPING FLESH from the US and 100 MONSTERS from Japan.

My genre pick is "Based on a true story" horror films and I have chosen  SNOWTOWN (which I swore I would never watch again, but here we are) and SACRAMENT from the US.

We have a couple of upcoming guests we are very excited about: Filmmakers and darned nice people, Tim Aslin and Ryan McDuffie from "Dismembering Horror" will join us in October  & some returning friends, Martin and Boaz from "Film vs. Film" will join us in November for It Means the World of Horror to Me™ picks!

Quinn has also agreed to help me out with a Foundational World of Horror™ pick: REBECCA from 1940. I have to work on my George Sanders impression!
