Welcome back listeners to World Forge! This week, in honor of Valentine's Day, we've decided to talk about how to incorporate romance into your stories and games. What makes an interesting love story, and how do you approach this in a way that everyone at the table is comfortable with? These are the kinds questions we'll be addressing on this episode!

But we are not alone! We decided what better episode than this to invite one of our most cherished friends, Lillian Cotter, on air to help us spread the love to your ears and your games. So here's what we did, we each created a character based on a random prompt, then we lock them in a room and see who falls in love first! It's speed dating D&D style! We also talk about wild west slip n slide parties, how to escape a thirst trap, and what the perfect date night looks like for each of our characters!

We also recommend a really fun party game that is also based on love and relationships, and that's Slash! Slash is a game where you compete with your friends to make the best romantic fan fiction pairing, using characters from movies, television, pop culture, history, and literature! It's got a little bit of roleplay, a little bit of nostalgia, and a whole lot of silliness. Check them out at Playdate Games!

You can also find more of Lillian on twitter @LillianCotter and more of us on twitter @worldforgepod! As always if you enjoyed the episode please reach out to us and let us know! We love hearing your takes on our creations, and getting your fan art, fan fiction, and fan mail! If we really like it (we always do) we'll be sure and share it on air and on twitter! You can also contact us via email at [email protected].

And if you're feeling REALLY supportive consider leaving us a review on Apple Podcasts, or your podcasting app of choice! It really does a lot to help us spread our show to new listeners, and it's totally free!
