We're back kicking off 2020 with a bang! Tanaka Fuego comes down to the studio for Ep #009. Tanaka's energy is truly infectious and his poetry is both delicate and cutting, illustrating both the beauty and pain of the complicated nature of the human experience. He is noticeably careful with his word choice, believing that a good poem is much like a good song in that 3min 30sec is enough time to get your point across and any longer is merely over indulgence. The result is punchy and emphatic delivery with memorable and uniquely poignant subject matter. The three poems we get to hear are The Decolonisation of the Queer Carcass, Period and Ain't London Bridge Falling. Give him follow on Instagram at @tanaka.fuego and be sure to check out the video of his final piece on both YouTube and IGTV. Enjoy!
