Alexei Navalny leads a political revolution while in exile from his homeland of Russia. After someone tried to poison him, he and his team gather evidence to link Russian president Vladimir Putin to the attack, and this documentary follows Navalny’s story as he attempts to return to Russia to possibly face prison time for the crime of criticizing Putin’s reign.

Joe welcome Julio Olivera (The Contrarians Podcast) back to the show for their annual discussion of the Oscar nominated documentary films. This year, they only watched the ones that were available to stream, but at least they vaguely think one of the others is about an orphanage or something.
