Lozen, a two-spirit Apache warrior who fought alongside Victorio and Geronimo and devoted her life to her People. She was a fierce fighter and protector of her People, yet never mentioned by name by the white man. Throughout the Apache Wars she eluded American and Mexican soldiers again and again, and she lived until the final surrender of the last free Apache alongside Geronimo. In this first episode of our two-part episode we will cover the culture and heritage of the Chiricahua Apache and the beginning of the Apache Wars - with Lozen in the narrative.
