Playing professionally since a teenager, Elena has risen to the top of her game as part of the Le Azzure – Italy Women’s National Team – surprising everyone by winning their group and making it all the way to the quarterfinals of the tournament in France.

From her passionate singing of the National Anthem to their victory Macarena dance, Elena won the hearts of the fans back home and helped bring attention to the billions who watched the tournament.
