Today's interview is with the author of Life in the Big Old House featured monthly in the Daily Astorian Coast weekend.

Lauri Serafin spent many years sailing -in fact that's how she met her husband.

She's a genealogist, restores historic houses which has led to a love of creating historic needlework, crocheting lace and finding just the right historic decor. S

he volunteers at the Flavel house, is a docent, is on the board of the Cascadia Chamber Opera and is creating an avenue for her Pint Size Opera. One of her greatest joys was being a roller derby ref.

A youtube video of a tour through the Forsstrom house is available here: https://youtu.be/qaff6vjZzMA
