Menopause is Not a Disease! with Dr. Suzanne Gilbert-Lenz

We’ve been looking for years for a menopause specialist to have on our show…and the universe has delivered! This week we chat with the author of the fresh-off-the-presses book, Menopause Bootcamp: Optimize Your Health, Empower Your Self, and Flourish as You Age, Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz. Dr. Suzanne believes that the 27 million women entering menopause each year deserves thoughtful, candid, modern, holistic information surrounding this transitional stage in our lives. Real information on menopause has been shockingly sparse and surrounded by ageism, shame, and a lack of support. Life doesn’t end at menopause—it’s the start of something new and wonderful!

Dr. Suzanne is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and gynecology. She received her medical degree in 1996 from the USC School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA. She is involved in women’s empowerment and public education, and appears frequently as an expert in women’s health and integrative medicine on TV, in print and online. She was board-certified in integrative and holistic medicine in 2008 and completed her clinical Ayurvedic Specialist degree at California College of Ayurveda in 2010. She is cofounder of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Green Committee and is deeply committed to the promotion of healing that involves individuals, families, communities, and the planet.
