We witnessed something unique in a courtroom scene last week: Former Dallas police officer shot and killed Botham Jean, a young black man in his own apartment, she entered the apt, thinking it was her own, and seeing him, thinking him an intruder, shot and killed Botham.

This is an unspeakable tragedy. And it would make HUMAN sense for Botham Jean's family to react with outrage and anger. Instead, at the sentencing, Botham's brother, Brandt, told Guyger he wanted the best for her, that he forgave her, hugged her, prayed with her, and shared Christ with her.

That is a level of Forgiveness that would transform and heal the divisions in this country. What if we all could look at everyone the way that Brandt looked at Amber Guyger?

Of course, not everyone is happy with his reaction- or the reaction of the Judge who also stepped down from behind the bench and hugged Guyger too.

It's a crazy, sad, emotional, uplifting case- all wrapped into one.

Buckle up buckaroos!
