WELCOME BACK!
John Caravella has packed a lot of living into his 41 years. Our Dr. Fever seemingly doesn't do anything once. In addition to more than a half-dozen air names, he's had multiple wives, an unknowable number of jobs, a crazy amount of alcohol and several interactions with certain substances that have come back to haunt him ("do you see someone standing in the corner?") The thing Johnny seems to have only done once: have a kid. Her name is Laurie and Johnny hasn't seen her in seven years. She was twelve the last time the Doctor laid eyes on her...and his eyes might have been a bit bleary at the time. Now she's 19, on her own and in Cincinnati!! Johnny barely recognizes her. She showed up at the station with her Old Man...and she's wanting to visit her Old Man (we'll explain that one in a minute).

Justin is catching some Zs in what has to be one funky smelling van. They've been on the road since Seattle. Johnny says they can crash at his place. He wants to be a pal to Laurie...but it's hard to put the whole "dad" thing aside, especially with Justin around. We get into the years and the distances. Be warned, much of what you're about to experience is pretty "far out." Now hurry up and push 'play' before Justin falls back asleep!

[PRODUCTION NOTE: The Jazz clip played under our description of the Blue Wisp Jazz Club was actually recorded live at the Blue Wisp on Nov. 30th of 2011.]

WATCH ALONG DETAILS...
[Want to watch along with us? It's a blast!! We highly recommend the 'Shout Factory' boxed DVD set of the entire WKRP series. For reasons you'll have to listen to in the "Prolog"  episode, all streaming versions of the original "WKRP in Cincinnati" have had the original music cues removed. Generic music beds and stings were used in place of the original music for the syndicated version of the series. 'Shout Factory' has been able to restore an estimated 85% of all WKRP music cues to the original "as-aired" content for their DVD release. They've also restored scenes that had been cut to shorten episodes for syndication. The original eps ran 25 minutes. The syndication eps were shortened to 22 minutes. Over 88 episodes that's more than four hours of lost content, including the performance by "Detective" at the end of "Hoodlum Rock." Get the COMPLETE series...get the Shout Factory DVDs. The Shout Factory complete series box has a release date of 2014. All individual seasons of Shout Factory disks were released starting in 2015.]
