In this weeks episode, Logan sits down with Dr. Chris Somers from the Saskatchewan Sportfish Research Group and two of the groups Masters students, Julee Stewart and Kat Mccallum.

Chris gives a brief overview of what the Saskatchewan Sportfish Research Group is and why winter is so important for tagging research. Next, we enter into Julee's masters project which was studying Tip Up fishing for pike and what effects different quickstrike rigs have along with their hookup rates.

After the Pike talk, we transition into Kat's work on Boundary Dam Reservoir and Saskatchewan Largemouth Bass. Kat talks about the food web involved with fishery as well as the potential outcome of Bass with the SaskPower coal plant shutting down.

There is tons of great information in this episode that can be put to use in your next tip-up adventure or adventure for some Saskatchewan Largemouth Bass.
