In 1858, many people heard stories of untold wealth in the Arizona desert. They developed a feverish desire to seek their fortune during the Gold Rush. Sadly, it was a cruel joke for most, as they were plagued by crippling misfortune, hardship, and death.
Luana's family had to make do with a small, one-room shack in a canyon near Kingman, Arizona. It was a life of difficult circumstances for them.
This tale of hope turned to despair, one of abandonment that resonated in the crevices of the cliffs and forever stained the earth. At night, you can hear the hollow echoes along the canyon walls from the pain and sorrow radiating through it.
