Frankincense And Myrrh - Episode 49

Today I talk about Frankincense and Myrrh on our 49th episode! I wanted to do an episode on some resins because I LOVE burning them. The scents are so deep, the smoke always is thick and billowing, and there’s something special in the air when I break out some resins and do energy cleansings on the house. I wanted to share a couple of my favorites, and it goes along with the season.

Frankincense resin looks like little yellowish hard ‘tears’ or pebbles to me. It varies a bit in color and the sizes of the pebbles can vary too. Myrrh is darker and kinda chunkier in texture I think. They are both resins that come from trees. Both come from the Burseraceae family of trees.

I tell you about some history and cultures that used these resins and also how we can use them today!
