Australian BMX and Mountain Biker Caroline Buchanan from Canberra is currently aiming at her second Olympic Games and has already collected multiple titles and awards. She became the BMX World Champion in 2012 and 2013 as well as Mountain Bike World Champion in 2009, 2010 and 2013. In 2014 she won the BMX World Cup Series, was the BMX Rider of the Year and won the BMX World Championships Time Trial Silver Medal. At the 2012 London Olympic Games, Caroline was the BMX Time Trial Winner and a racing finalist. A year later she was recognized as the AIS Australian Athlete of the Year, Cyclist of the Year and People’s Choice Australian Cyclist of the Year.  Her marketing strategy is impressive and has paid off in a sport which has historically been male dominated, and she now has an impressive team of sponsors behind her. Her current focus is this year’s World Cup series and World Championships with a view to qualifying for the Rio in 2016.  Visit Caroline’s website here and follow her on Facebook @CBuchanan68, Twitter @CBuchanan68 and Instagram @cbuchanan68.
