Olympic short track speed skater Isabelle Charest, who will be Canada’s Chef de Mission for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, has made a seamless transition from her athletic career which spanned three decades to representing the Canadian Olympic Committee and the athletes of today. Charest, a native of Rimouski, Québec, medalled in three consecutive Olympic Winter Games. Making her Olympic debut at Lillehammer 1994, she won silver as a member of the 3000m relay team. She again captured bronze medals at Nagano in 1998 and at Salt Lake City in 2002 in the same event. Charest served as Assistant Chef de Mission at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and earlier that year she was Canada’s Chef de Mission at the Lillehammer Winter Youth Olympic Games. She was also on the Mission Team at the 2012 London Olympic Games.  For more conversations from the world of women's sports visit us at www.wispsports.com and join in the conversation on social media @WiSP Sports.
