1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.
The Jews were the elect of God and also those who believe in Jesus are the chosen of God.
Isaiah 43:20-21 (NKJV) 20 The beast of the field will honor Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.
21 This people I have formed for Myself;
They shall declare My praise.
The keyword is chosen which makes us different and distinct from our generation.
