Meredith’s Bio:

She was working in a traditional accounting role and felt stifled and burnt out. She was missing out on the best years with her family. And she decided it was time for a change. 

Meredith decided to take some time off to be a mom and started working part-time for a local non-profit that needed accounting support. In doing so, she realized that her skills were having a huge impact on the organization. Word spread about her skills and she began to scale a full-on outsourced bookkeeping, accounting and advisory business – all while spending more time with her family and achieving her financial goals.

But it didn’t stop there. Soon, Meredith was serving 25+ clients and didn’t have capacity to take on more clients herself despite near-constant requests.

These business owners had built great businesses, and Meredith wanted to help them experience the freedom to focus on what they do best.

So she had an epiphany: What if she helped other talented accounting professionals break out from the traditional path and do exactly what she had done?

And that’s when Empower was born.
