Have you ever thought of church as being intimidating to those who are new or returning to their faith? Today’s Guest Mark Steller is helping fill that gap. Mark helped build Sports Ministry Integration, encouraging those who are not close to their faith, in an unconventional way. By finding a common ground in sports. But what can happen to your own faith, while working in a faith-based field? I am confident that hearing about his journey will encourage many.

In this episode, you’ll discover…

What is the key trait to winning at work and at home? (1:20)

What Sports Ministry Integration is. (6:12)

Leaving a successful career for the unknown. (12:54)

Taking care of your faith, while leading others to theirs. (26:55)

Mark’s Bio:

Mark has been married for over 20 years to his amazing wife Annie and they have two kids, Jackson, and Ellie. They live in Copley and have been since 2006 and have been attending Grace Bath Campus since 2009. His family has been blessed to be Life Group Leaders, Pre-Marital Mentors, and go on Missions trips. Volunteering for Sports Ministry was a passion which included Gameday and especially Grace Race.

In 2022, Mark felt God calling him to leave the marketplace and join the Sports Ministry Department as the Director of Integration. If you’re wondering, his sports team is the Cavs and like most people he loves bacon.

His go-to scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
