Humans are not equipped to recognize urban environments as something that makes sense… Basically even though humans may appear adjusted to urbanization, evolutionarily our brains haven’t caught up with more natural or healthy responses to such prevalent environments. To our animal brains, these environments just don't make sense and may actually be harmful for urban dwellers.

In this episode of Wild Roots, we speak with Dr. Ian Frampton, an Exeter University psychologist about these significant findings and what we can do to make sense of our struggling brains.
