On this week's episode: Monroe Martin! Monroe is a regular at the Stand Comedy Club, The Comedy Cellar, New York Comedy Club, and pretty much everywhere else there is a stage in NYC. He also tours nationally. He has been on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Last Comic Standing, Adam DeVine's House Party & AXS TVs Live at Gotham. He also was one half of the hysterical (yet brief) web series "the Clo & Roe Show," with Chloe Hilliard, which featured a few other very funny NYC comedians (check them out on his website). This podcast was recorded the day after the election and Monroe is excited. He can't wait to make things funny for you. This episode is all laughs... We have to (of course) acknowledge the results of Election 2016. Donald Trump. Well. That's a thing that happened. Moving on from there, we lighten it up by brainstorming potential uses for Monroe's sexy voice. And remember landline phones? We sure do. Monroe is noticeably giddy and we want to know why. We chat about the importance of stand-up comedy during hard times - people need laughter more than ever, and it's our responsibility to supply. Reproductive rights are brought up, and we take that opportunity to make abortion funny... several times... Monroe shares about respecting his current relationship by keeping his lady out of the public eye, we talk about the strange fantasy of incest, and we all answer the question: have you had sex with twins? How close is too close for twins and their relationships? And then we tackle the ever looming concept of death, and Monroe has no fear-- unless you count the "knowing it's coming" part. All that and Alia reads an excerpt from "the Art of a Lady" by Hannah Pryor.
