A Poet adds wonder, magic and love all around her, no matter what. On March 21st, Julie Pellissier-Lush started something wonderful. She began recording poems and hosting online powwows to share Beauty and Harmony in the midst of a pandemic. Julie Pellissier-Lush is a Poet and as such, she is multitalented: an actress, a singer, songwriter, photographer, a mother of five and the first Mi’kmaq Poet Laureate of Prince Edward Island in PEI history. She is the author of My Mi’kmaq Mother, a story of motherly love and loss, and Mi'kmaq Campfire Stories (The Acorn Press), a voyage into the world of the Mi’kmaq people. Qui est le Poète? is honored to have her for this 8th episode.
