"Invisible"

Promoted by two live shows and an encounter in a comment section Tuesday night, I (Whitebeard) was forced to examine my own experiences in the outdoor community. I watched a live "Overland" podcast on Facebook and a live "Hiking" podcast on Instagram then read a post from a young woman who said she was ignored within the larger Overland world. But was welcomed by other Jeep owners in other countries and other black people. I don't like labels like POC or being sectioned off. But I couldn't just pass by her feelings of being invisible, like Ralph Ellison wrote about. I posted a Poll on IG and received only one response. I then had to take a good look at my own invisibility...
