Gustavo Romero

Gustavo Romero is the owner of Nixta, a tortelliria and Mexican takeout restaurant in Northeast Minneapolis. He shares his story of growing up in Mexico, crossing the border as a teenager, and working as a chef in San Francisco, Miami, Italy, and more. He reflects on what he's learned over his varied career, what it was like starting a restaurant during COVID, and why he settled in Minneapolis.
