Anthony D’Onofrio, better known as Texture, started coding at a young age by learning BASIC on his grandma’s computer. From there, he became a full-stack developer and got involved in different projects that ultimately failed, but always with a mindset of embracing opportunities while developing himself, which led him to be one of the co-founders of Ethereum.

“As long as you can handle what most people might consider failure for an indetermined amount of time and not lose that drive, success is just a matter of time”, he says.

Sounds like a usual story to success but you’ll learn Texture is far from an ordinary person.

In this episode, he chats with Chair and Bacon about his personal journey, the ups & downs, his role on the genesis and early days of Ethereum, his NFT project Texture Punx which started as a joke, and his perspectives on Web3.

Some of the topics are:

-    His origins as a developer

-    The concept of success

-    Contributing in Web3 vs extracting value

-    Big corporations’ adoption of the technology

-    The genesis and early days of Ethereum

-    The importance of a good website

-    The problem of scams and misinformation

-    Future of Web3

-    Texture Punx NFT project

Now he wants to start his own podcast, not exactly about Web 3 but instead as a way to make a bridge to other things that interest him in all areas of culture and keep adding to the future of the space. “I really want to see a world in which people can offer value, other people can be inspired by that system of value whether it be very small or something local (…) I would like to see people be able to take ownership of their world a bit more”.
