Welcome back to the kitchen table. This week Bethany sits at the table with her good friend, Shelley. Bethany and Shelley talk about the stretch and struggle mothers face with work and home life. Shelley provides a faith-based perspective on engaging in both work and home life while finding a rhythm and rest instead of balance.

Culture wants us to be balanced moms but unfortunately, reaching balance requires us to place effort into one thing over another. Shelley encourages listeners to find harmony by focusing on the most important things.

Shelley and Bethany talk about the importance of making God a priority and how abiding can help you understand your identity, say yes to the things that matter most, and release the grasp of balance. As moms with a lot on our plates, it’s essential to define the few things God has given us to steward and relinquish the rest.

Shelley refers to Acts 17:28 as a way to help her prioritize finding rest and rhythm in her journey. In him, we find rest.

Bethany welcomes you to share some of your favorite moments or maybe some of your most difficult moments of motherhood.
