Quick response to the story in Pittsburgh PA regarding officer Paul  Abel. Its important to remember that people in any profession can be in  the wrong job. We also have to get facts and context. Once all those are  in, if he is as bad as people are alleging then he should be terminated  and held to account. That being said, this DOES NOT mean that people  have license to loot, riot, and terrorize the public. And it ABSOLUTELY  does not mean that we  have the right to conflate the actions of one  with an entire profession. We do not do that for teachers, doctors, etc.  Its true police have a powerful responsibility, but demonstrating  common sense (saying that we need facts, and that most police are good  people, and that if a police office like Officer Abel is unfit he must  be held to account) does not mean anyone is making excuses for bad  behavior. We have to critically think, stop acting emotionally, and  research. I just learning of this incident an hour ago and began looking  into this. I came upon a few sources which I will include but the  information below still falls WOEFULLY short.
