This week on What the Smut we are talking about the medieval desire in A Year and a Day (Medieval DeWarenne Trilogy Book 1) by Virginia Henley. This is Lisa's birthday book and friend of the pod Amanda joins us to explore this wonderful historical romance. Jane is selected to be Lynx's handfasted companion for no other reason than her family's prolific breeding. Gosh, it would make a girl giddy with desire. The medieval period being what it is, Jane's desire for Lynx is irrelevant.

We rated the heat level in this book as The Audacity!! This means the book doesn't treat the sex parts of different genders equally. As Amanda pointed out, it's 25 years old so we will cut it some slack :-)

In this episode, we talk about multiple stories confusing the plot, men and women that don't like the other gender but still want to sleep with them, location and so very much more.
