Teacher and Learner: The Community Connection of Firefighter and EMT Mike Martinich

Like a lot of those in emergency services in small towns, Mike Martinich sees his community from a unique perspective. As a school teacher for 22 years, some of the same students and families he'd have in the classroom would find themselves needing his help in emergencies. He's learned a lot about the challenges people face, what people have in common, and how a friendly face in a terrifying time can be a tremendous comfort.
