The music scene has changed rapidly across the last decade. Artists can get global attention via streaming services, but many say that streaming means a lot of legwork is needed in order for musicians to make ends meet. So, what shall we do about the music industry? Is there a better way that we, the consumer, can support music makers? Joining me to discuss is producer, DJ, artist and former triple j radio host Kristy Lee Peters, better known as KLP, who has spent many years both producing music and supporting others doing the same.
You can find KLP on Instagram and Twitter, and her debut album Giver is out now. KLP is touring Australia through Summer, starting December 1st in Manly. Tour dates and tickets are available here.
