Remember the good old days? Back before screen addiction, when homes were affordable, and we were all safer?
Nostalgia takes us back to happier places - but it's also making us long for a time that is not the present. So, what shall we do about nostalgia? And are our memories fooling us into thinking that things were better than they actually were? Joining me to discuss is comedian, actor, author and former triple j Breakfast host Matt Okine, whose new book is set in the 1990s and brimming with nostalgia - both good and bad.
You can find Matt on Instagram and Twitter, and his book Being Black & Chicken & Chips is available now.
Matt is taking his brand new show SOLO DINER around Australia in 2020, including a run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Find all the dates at mattokine.com.
The article discussed in this episode is 'On Frozen 2 and Disney's Nostalgia Problem' by Alissa Wilkinson at Vox.
