What’s Grillin’ – Gifts for Dad

Joe recommends getting dad a super nice set of tongs. Read Charpie’s tongs post.

For the dad who’s the gadget lover, Charpie recommends a laser thermometer. Check ‘em out.

Joe also recommends some grilling baskets.

If dad doesn’t have one already, an electric rotisserie is also an excellent idea. The guys both have Weber rotisseries which are available for gas and charcoal grills.

Shout out to Andrew Zimmern‘s Go Fork Yourself podcast.

A good set of grill mitts is something that every dad should have. Check out Joe’s post on finding the mitt that fits.

Joe mentions the Charcoal Companion BBQ Pit Mitt (video), but he’s not sure if it beats out a basic leather set of mitts.

Does dad have a good grill brush? A nice grill brush can be a great, cost effective gift. For these, you don’t have to go overboard. Standard wooden handled brushes are the best bang for the buck. Avoid plastic brushes because they’ll melt! See Charpie’s review on the Weber Style brush.

For the charcoal griller, chimneys are always nice to have. Even if you’ve got one already, an extra can be handy to have around.

Joe talks about his Steven Raichlen pepper roaster.

Joe also talks about grilling lights for cookin’ in the dark! Check some out here.
