As citizens of the world sit out life in various stages of quarantine, many of us are missing birthdays, anniversaries, proms, bar mitzvahs and more. We're also prevented from paying our respects to anyone in our lives who passes away. And yet, in such unsettling times, we are adapting, coming up with new ways to mark milestones...helped in large part by technology, but also through sheer force of will and resourcefulness.

One such creative type is producer Sally Horchow. Approaching her fiftieth birthday, and before the pandemic, Sally envisioned having a huge bash with friends from near and far. She wound up getting her wish--albeit in a very different fashion from what she originally imagined.

Delight in Sally's story and draw new inspiration for ways to make sure this year's commemorations are ones to remember--not for how sullen they were but for how unique and meaningful they turned out to be.
