Judy Jean Kwon, a Korean-American filmmaker/storyteller comes on the podcast to promote her latest project, MILFriend, a comedy series about crazy-ass MoMs in gentrifying Venice beach where culture, color and class CLash.

She shares her experience working on MILFriend, a project that she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in and her experience working in the entertainment industry being an Asian woman looking to not play stereotypical Asian roles. In addition to that, we talked about her experience of not feeling like she fit in being Korean American growing up in California raised by her grandmother and her thoughts on Asian representation in media as a whole.

Judy is a super awesome storyteller looking to give voice to the voiceless and tell stories of the underdogs that are ignored. She is passionate about women's rights and immigrant stories. Please support her and her project!
