Episode 112 - Licorice Pizza

Ed and Jason talk the latest from a Paul Thomas Anderson, in the joyously funny 'Licorice Pizza'. A departure from PTA's normal dour and visceral sensitive, but chock full of his usual visual imagery and couched sexuality. Ed and Jason discuss why the film delivers on a comedic premise and fits the general uplifting zeitgeist which seems to be popular in cinemas right now. We also talk why PTA is in a class of his own in crafting shots and performances from both well known and new actors (including Phillip Seymour Hoffman's son who plays the lead!).
