WRITER OF DARKNESS

Halloween would just be another Groundhog’s day without horror storytellers! And that’s Fox saying that, and he was born on Groundhog’s day. On episode 125, author T. Fox Dunham hangs out with fellow author James Longmore. They both have stories in the crime anthology, A Time For Violence, and James comes on to share his experiences as an author and impart wisdom to new writers starting the lifelong challenge. David Walton narrates an excerpt from his story, Mice. Fox also shares some of the ghost stories he’s collected while visiting the mountain town of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. AUTHOR JAMES LONGMORE:

James hails originally from Yorkshire, England having relocated with his family to Houston, Texas in 2010. He has an honors degree in Zoology and a background in sales, marketing and business. An Affiliate Member of the Horror Writer’s Association, and founder of HellBound Books Publishing LLC, James has to date five novels published. his definitive short story collection, and three novellas. He is also the proprietor of the independent, horror publishing house HellBound Books Publishing LLC.

 

James also writes screenplays and currently has three under option. In 2014 he was commissioned by Spectra Records to write a biopic feature on the early life of Bob Marley, and in 2015 was writer for hire on the Kenyan sitcom ‘The Samaritans’.

James has written and directed short movies, winning Best Director in the 2013 Splatterfest film competition and Remi awards at Houston’s Worldfest Film Festival in 2012, 2014 and 2015 – all are viewable on his official website!
