Yoga ia derived from the Sankrit word "Yuja" , and you would be amazed to know that oldest written evidence of yoga is in Rig Veda , which is 5000 years old . This ancient technique focuses on bringing your mind and body together . Yoga (Yuja) is also mentioned in Hinduism holy book Bhagwat geeta and it has great cultural importance for them. There are many ancient ashrams in Rishikesh | Haridwar | Bihar | Madhya Pradesh and other places of India where people from not only India but from Japan | Europe | America come to learn this beautiful art. The modern relevance of Yoga can be understood from the fact that , MIT | Stanford | IISc | DU have special courses and classes on Yoga . And if you search on YouTube you can find girls and guys more from America and Europe teaching Yoga keeping in mind it's origin . Keeping in mind its popularity and the health benefits , United Nations have declared 21st June as International day of Yoga . But you would be thinking i have created so much hype , what are the benefits of Yoga ? Why Yoga ? Why posing those difficult Asanas ? Ahmm , not only it provides you with good strength and strong muscles and six packs abs , and physique and figure but also it's has to be noted that no mental health can even touch your if you are performing yoga daily . So whether it's depression or Anxiety , stress or sleeplessness . Every disease ( mental or physical ) can be prevented just by performing those "senseless" asanas. This is official statement of Economics Time " Harvard Medical School recommends yoga, meditation to deal with coronavirus anxiety ". Now the most awaited question , which one is better for you ? Gym or Yoga ?




 1) For Yoga it is optional to join classes , you just need to have mat and motivation , and you can also download free android apps that can guide you to your journey , and when talking about Gym then you need to join one , you need to follow their charts , you need to buy supplements , dumbbells . 




2) Yoga can be done anywhere , even if you are on your holidays you can still follow your routine in comparison with Gym where whole schedule gets wasted. 




3) Yoga is not only related to Physical health but also to mental health and effective breathing . That's hell lot of worthy argument . I am going to make more podcasts on Yoga so follow up there to learn more.
