Previous Episode: Journey of Becoming

Ever wonder how to stay young at heart? My guest today, Anne James, may have unlocked the secret! Anne published her first book at age 90. Let me say that again, Anne published her FIRST book at 90 years old. If you ever feel like life has passed you by and you missed the chance to create what’s within you, I say think again!

One thing I learned from my conversation with Anne is we can keep reinventing ourselves, it's never too late for anything. We can continue to live our lives, but we have to take control and very intentional about our living. Anne shares with us how she has done just that. Writing was always a passion and she shares her process of becoming a published writer. There were obstacles to overcome but that didn't stop her.

I highly recommend Anne's book, Marsh Bird. The book is based on a place that I have fallen in love with. I was captivated by her writing and I couldn't put it down!

I hope that you are as inspired as I was in this conversation with Anne. She has a beautiful outlook on life that can remind each of us to live on purpose.

A brief description of Marsh Bird, "Woven with murder, mystery, and magic, The Marsh Bird is a compelling story of a young, orphaned, multiracial girl from Louisiana and a white teen abandoned as an infant and raised by a local white fisherman, both embraced by the residents of a rural, Gullah Geechee sea island community. This is an unforgettable love story, and a tale of survival that proves it is the bonds of love and care that create a family."

What do you think the answer to how to stay young at heart is?
