Many college students have heard about or know someone who has used prescription stimulants to help them study, have fun, or get through college more easily. But how do these substances interact with our bodies when we don't use them correctly or even need them? Join Mindy Koon and the JMU Counseling Center's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Renee Crosswhite as they discuss prescription stimulants such as Adderall and Ritalin. Learn how these drugs affect the brain and body, what happens when they're used in combination with other substances, and the role they're playing in college students' lives.
