This week we continue our deep dive into The Necronomicon. The first mention of the Necronomicon was in H. P. Lovecrafts short story The Hound and while Lovecraft insisted that it was a work of pure fiction who's title came to him in a dream many believe it to be true. The Necronomicon that we're looking into today is known as The Simon Necronomicon and is a patchwork mixing middle eastern mysticism with the writings of H. P. Lovecreft and Aleister Crowley. Simon insisted that the book was a genuine collection of magic rituals that predate modern religions.
