This is the first episode of the Friday Wrap up with Lachlan from Focused Performance Training.

This is a podcast with a twist, it's recorded live at 5pm (AEST) every Friday and is open for anyone to ask their questions, provide insight and tell their stories with regards to strength and conditioning, sport science, sport, and physical development at all levels.

The aim of this podcast is to provide you with as much quality info from a range of sources so that you feel empowered to make intelligent and educated decisions on your physical preparation for whatever physical endeavour you are chasing. I hope you enjoy this new take on podcasts and get something out of it.

In this episode we talk about the two major debates that occurred online this week between Andrew Lock and Greg Lehman around low back pain, deadlifting technique, and Adam Meakins back injury. We then go into the debate between Isratael and Seedman which asks the questions why it is that he pushes Eccentric Isometrics so much at 90 degrees, and we learn how to ask questions and be respectful while disagreeing with someone.

We then break into an open discussion around the need for Sport and Exercise Scientists to join ESSA, where are they doing enough and where are they missing the mark, and then we look at where the undergraduate degree misses and hits the mark.
