Olde Virden’s: How a Pizza Topping Idea Became a Business

Olde Virden’s TN Pepper Co. has an incredibly tasty line up of farm fresh spices and boasts an inspiring story of how, husband and wife, Chris and Allyson Virden took a simple idea and revolutionized a product found nationwide. These Knoxville entrepreneurs share with us their story of bringing their product to market, getting into grocery stores, and the hilarious twists and turns their entrepreneurial journey has taken them on. In our first episode with Chris and Allyson, we dive into how they met and became the entrepreneur duo that they are today. Their story is not the typical “mutual friend” beginning. Allyson sold one of her businesses and decided to hike the Appalachian Trail, where she met Chris.
