On the morning of Jesus's resurrection, Peter and John raced one another to Jesus's tomb. John won the race, but Peter was the first to go inside. John followed him, and when he saw all of the burial garments laying there, John believed, even before he understood it all. Jesus's resurrection is central to Christianity. Peter was coming off his absolute lowest moment when he denied even knowing Jesus, and then watched him get murdered. But thanks to Jesus's grace, he bounced back and Jesus restored him. Covering everything. Forgiving everything. He does the same with us, and anyone who'd believe. The empty tomb moves us to believe and be restored with new life and purpose!
