"...there is no beauty that we should desire him.
He is despised and rejected..."
-Isaiah 53:2-3.
"...there was no room for them in the inn."-Luke 2:7.
Merciful Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we thank you for your Holy words that will never pass away: as recorded in Luke 21:33.
We thank you, Great I Am, for being the ultimate promise keeper: the Most High righteous judge who opens the eyes of the blind...to you we say, Hallelujah!
Abba Father, we thank you for this season of Advent: a time of expectation of your blessings...Hope for all;
the hope, faith, and love that comes from the expectation of Christ's coming and return: Luke 21:27.
We thank you Lord God Almighty for consistently strengthening our soul to desire the things of the Holy Spirit - Romams 8:5.
We thank you for reminding us in today's reading that Jesus Christ, your Beloved Son- Saviour of the world, was not physically beautiful attracting the masses, but was rejected; we thank you Jesus for never leaving us nor forsaking us.
We thank you for enduring the ultimate loneliness so that we can be encouraged to know that we are not alone nor rejected, but instead are beautiful and wonderfully made and loved.
God, we thank you for teaching us and allowing us to have room for Christ in our heart, life, and being today:
Lord Jesus Christ we receive all of you.
We repent of our sin.
We forgive and receive forgiveness.
We delight in you.
We receive your unconditional love.
We will not allow our senses to deceive us.
We watch and pray.
We receive all of the blessings that you have for us.
Jesus is the Lord. Amen.
"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."- Psalm 37:4.
